I have had the good fortune to work with Michele Anstey and Geoff Bull in a number of educational contexts over the last three years. Their high academic background and leading expertise (including current cutting edge research and publications), together with their very practical, hands-on experience in the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors combine to give them a full and grounded understanding of the modern education landscape including the Australian Curriculum.
Michele and Geoff demonstrate the understanding and wisdom that comes with their extensive experience delivering professional learning to schools and educational faculties. Their excellent people skills ensure that they easily and capably assist teachers and students to feel confident and comfortable to try new things and expand their learning, particularly in concepts around multimodal texts.
They bring their positive attitudes, organisational skills and unassuming grace and good humour to all that they do, making them a delight to deal with. They are excellent listeners and astute in the way they understand individual contexts, the professional learning required and how best to deliver it. They are efficient and fully reliable, being prepared, flexible, respectful and intuitive. I have always found that their suggestions and advice ensure a successful project whether it is a one-off workshop, conference presentation, writing project or a longer, spaced action-learning project. That they choose to share their expertise widely can only be to Australia’s benefit.
